Hey Men,
We just saw QUANTUM OF SOLACE - as a matter of fact, we saw one of the first showings here in town. We went to see it because its been so fricken hot here and we needed to get an escape from the heat. We don't have AC - very few people do around here. We never really need it... accept for today!
At any rate, I could sit in a theater all day staring at Daniel Craig. I think he's the hottest James Bond to date. And sometimes, I come across some pretty cool stuff like some of these images. One of the tricks we use between cuts is called a transition. Not to be confused with the kind of transition the politicians are doing right now... a transition bridges two separate clips so that the clips blend. This is different than a sharp cut from one angle to another or one aspect of a scene to another.
The pics I'm showing today were taken from one of the frames during a transition. As you can see, these sometimes create funny images as one scene transitions to the next.
